Our expertise

Tailored solutions
for every site.

Whether you're marking a handful of bays or rolling out charging infrastructure across a large estate, we apply markings with accuracy and consistency — aligned to your specification, your branding, and the standards that apply to your site.

Materials & lifespan

The right material for how your bays are used.

Markings aren't all the same — the material decides how long they last and what they cost over their life. We specify the option that fits your surface, your traffic, and your budget, and explain the trade-offs before you commit.

Lasts 5–10 years

Hot-applied thermoplastic.

Melted and laid into the surface with reflective glass beads through it, so it bonds hard and stays visible at night. The durable, reflective default for bay outlines and EV symbols.

Best for Bay outlines, EV symbols, and busy retail or forecourt car parks.

Lasts up to 10 years

MMA cold plastic.

A two-part system that cures by chemical reaction — no heat, sets in minutes, and stands up to the heaviest wear. It reopens quickly, which keeps disruption down on operating sites.

Best for High-traffic forecourts, entrances, and the heaviest-wear charging zones.

Lasts 1–3 years

Line-marking paint.

The lightest, most economical option, applied quickly with the shortest closure. A sensible choice where bays are refreshed more regularly or budgets are tighter.

Best for Temporary layouts, phased rollouts, and budget-conscious refreshes.

FAQs

Answered before
you ask.

The questions procurement, estates and facilities teams ask us most often.

Do EV charging bay markings need to meet a particular standard?
Yes. We mark bays to your specification and to the DfT and local authority standards that apply to your site, including accessibility requirements for disabled and parent-and-child bays. If you're not sure what's required, we're happy to advise on the right approach before you commit.
Can you add our branding, colours or logos to the bays?
Yes. From standard EV symbols to fully branded designs, we apply bespoke graphics and colours that align with your organisation's identity while remaining compliant with UK standards. It's a straightforward way to make charging zones recognisable and on-brand.
What do EV charging bay markings usually include?
A typical layout includes bay outlines, EV symbols, directional and flow markings around the charging area, and any accessible or specialist bays the site needs. We design the layout to optimise traffic flow, accessibility, and space, then apply it for maximum visibility.
Which material is best for EV bays?
Thermoplastic is the durable, reflective default for bay outlines and EV symbols. MMA cures quickly without heat and suits the heaviest-wear forecourts and entrances. Paint is the lightest, most economical option for temporary layouts or budget-conscious refreshes. We recommend the right material for how the bays are used.
Can you mark bays while our site is still operating?
In most cases, yes. We plan works around your programme and can phase them to keep the site running. Fast-curing materials let bays reopen quickly, which keeps disruption to your business and your customers to a minimum.
Do you prepare the surface before marking?
Yes. Good preparation is what makes markings last. We clean and, where needed, shot blast and prime the surface so the new markings bond properly and stay crisp and visible for longer.
