C&R is a family-run line marking business, built on decades of experience and run today by the Riggott family.

After decades in the industry—including co-founding and leading Riggotts Road Marking—Darren established C&R to deliver a more personal, high-standard approach to line marking and surface preparation with nationwide coverage.

Darren brings over 30 years of experience to every project.

Beginning his career in 1989 and co-founding Riggotts in 1994, he has led teams on major national contracts for organisations such as Highways England, the NHS, and the MOD—building a reputation among road marking contractors and clients alike for technical excellence and integrity.

At C&R, Darren continues to uphold those same values—focusing on detail, open communication, and delivering reliable, high-quality results.

The experience behind every C&R job runs back to 1989.

  1. 1989

    Starting out.

    Darren begins his career in line marking on the UK's roads.

  2. 1994

    Riggotts founded.

    Darren co-founds Riggotts with his brother and a business partner, growing it into one of the UK's most trusted line marking firms — proven for Highways England, the NHS, and the MOD.

  3. 2015

    Riggotts acquired.

    Riggotts is acquired; Darren stays on to lead it as managing director through 2023.

  4. 2023

    C&R founded.

    Darren founds Clean and Retrieve as a family business — a focused, hands-on company built on that experience, with his sons, Tom and James, helping grow and develop it.

  5. Today

    C&R today.
